About US
Carl H Shin MD Founder of YVA
Pain management physician who started YVA once he saw how the virtual assistants got all the work done at half the cost in his busy practice. He trained and put together a team of experienced managers to offer this service to other offices.
Dr. Shin received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Loma Linda University in 1995. He also completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Loma Linda University Medical Center.
Dr. Shin’s Fellowship in Interventional Spine was completed at University of Pennsylvania under Dr. Curtis Slipman, where he was published in several prominent journals, including the American Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
In July of 2000, he obtained his Certification from the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and established his private practice shortly thereafter in Interventional Spine, Electromyography, and Pain Management. He is the current Chief Medical Officer of Center for Interdisciplinary Spine, a managed care firm that provides workers’ compensation utilization review services to self-insured employers.
Gabe Kim CEO of YVA
Gabe graduated from U.C. Berkeley with a Chemical Engineering degree and U.C. Davis with an MBA.
Much of his time is spent in High Tech industry where Gabe played the role of an Executive in managing large scale operations in Manufacturing, Engineering, Planning. And Customer Support. During his extended years of service, he was able to succeed in a globally completive environment by streamlining the supply chain, improving efficiencies, and reducing costs.
With his experience as a General Manager of a multinational business unit, Gabe understands the importance of customer satisfaction and strives to lead his team to help customers succeed. In his new role as the CEO of YVA, Gabe will build qualified staff that provide value added services.
Jose earned a bachelor's degree in physical therapy from San Pedro College and a master's degree in public administration with a major in public policy from the University of Southeastern Philippines.
He wanted to make sure that everything he did as a young man entering the workforce was either good or perfect. Throughout his career, he has always been propelled to leadership positions by his passion for optimizing work processes, developing rules for better staffing, and coming up with solutions to issues that may arise during work processes.
He has gotten better at what he does thanks to managing more than 100 virtual assistants, in addition to his strong work ethic, which includes collaborating with his teams, coaching and mentoring the employees, and fostering an environment that is welcoming to all.
Jose is eager to learn, grow, and advance his career as the company's operations manager at Da.medworks, a subsidiary of YVA.

Rhoda Mae Origenes President Of Da.Medworks
Rhoda received her Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from the University of the Visayas. For the past few years, she has also been trained & certified as a virtual medical assistant.
She has experience handling the majority of tasks because she has worked practically in a variety of medical fields, where she experienced handling the majority of the tasks. At the moment, she is an expert in the workflow for assisting providers with their needs and can train individuals.
With her commitment and passion, Rhoda has excelled in her chosen field in which she can organize and manage clinics.
Despite her youth, she is vivacious, driven, and entrepreneurial. She is able to operate and manage DA.MedWorks, a YVA subsidiary company, thanks to her expertise and experience.
By providing them with dedicated Virtual Assistants, she will ensure that all client requirements and expectations are met. A woman of integrity, Rhoda is the kind of leader who oversees the operation and gets everything done!
